What's on the certificate
- Your name
- The assessment you completed
- Net WPM (or KPH) and accuracy
- Test duration and completion date
- A unique certificate ID
- A verification link and QR code
How verification works
Anyone can scan the QR code or visit the verification link to confirm the result is a genuine Typing Gauge assessment result. The verification page shows your scores only — never your email or test history.
What it is — and isn't
A Typing Gauge certificate is a Typing Gauge Skills Assessment result. It is not government-accredited and is not a professional or industry certification. It's a convenient, verifiable way to show an employer the result you achieved.
How to get one
Pass any assessment by meeting both its speed and accuracy targets on a full-length test — for example 40 WPM at 95% accuracy on the General Employment test. Your results page then lets you add your name and print the certificate straight away. No account is needed, although signing in keeps all your certificates in one place.
Printing
The certificate is laid out for A4 landscape. Choose Print, then your printer or "Save as PDF".
Frequently asked questions

- Yes. Creating, printing and verifying a Typing Gauge certificate is free.

- Is this an accredited certification?
- No. It's a verifiable record of a Typing Gauge Skills Assessment result, not an accredited or industry certification.
- How do employers check my certificate?
- They scan the QR code or open the verification link, which shows the certificate ID, your name, the assessment, your scores and the completion date.
