When a one-minute test is useful
A one-minute test is a quick way to check your current speed, warm up before a longer assessment, or track day-to-day progress. Because it is short, a single slip can move your score noticeably, so take two or three and look at the average.
What it doesn't show
One minute doesn't reveal whether you can keep your pace going. Many employer assessments run for three or five minutes. When you are consistently hitting your target over one minute, move on to the 3-minute test.
